UNIPORT HONOURS PROF. I.S NZENERI …AS IITH RECTOR, PROF. A.R ARIKAWEI EDIT A BOOK TO CELEBRATE HIS RETIREMENT

It was indeed a historic event on the 17th of August 2023 when the University of Port Harcourt rolled out the red carpet in honour of Prof. I.S. Nzeneri of the Faculty of Education, University of Port Harcourt who has retired from active service as a Lecturer in the University.

Prof. Nzeneri retirement took effect from the 1st of November, 2022, leaving behind academic landmarks for posterity and the numerous Mentees that passed through him.

In his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill paid glowing tributes to the celebrant as an erudite scholar that performed his functions to the best of his ability, the reason why he succeeded in his career as an academic staff with a difference.

In his speech, Rector of the International Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, Bayelsa, Prof. Apuega Arikawei who incidentally is one of the mentees of Prof. I.S. Nzeneri and the lead editor of the festschrift, went memory lane on the academic exploits of Prof. Nzeneri describing him a Legend and a living ancestor in the academia who was always willing to encourage and motivate his students towards academic excellence.
