Brief History
The department of catering and hospitality management provides an undergraduate programe which leads to the award of a national diploma (ND) in hospitality management. The ND programe is designed to prepare students for the professional and academic careers in all areas of hospitality management. The programme is distinctive in its design, integrating practical and theoretical learning to give the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving hospitality industry whist adhering strictly with the National Board for technical education (NBTE) guidelines and procedures. This is achieved by providing broad based, qualitative and analytical background deemed necessary for success in the professional, business and academic spheres of life. The programme also aims to contributing significantly to the supply of the needed high- level manpower in the hospitality industry.
