THE REGISTRY
Open Registry is primarily concerned with generating information and safe record keeping for the smooth operation of the Institution. Its
Records and files are often labelled in either alphabetical or numerical order. The records are sometimes referred to as mails saved in various categories of shelves or containers known as cabinets. Other functions Include:
- Receipt of incoming mails
- Indexing
- Dispatch
- File enclosure
- File tracing
The Schedule of duties for general administration, though not limited, is as follows.
- Preparation of agenda and notices of meetings for Management/ Committee of Principal Officers (CPOs)
- Ensures venues of meeting(s) are well kept before time.
- Serves as Recorder in Management meetings
- Ensures compliances by sending out extracts of resolutions of Management meetings.
- Serves as Recorder of Academic Board (AB) meetings
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Registrar.

This division has two main functions in any given Institution of higher learning, namely; Senior staff and Junior Staff matters. The schedule of duty of the officer(s) includes:
- Attending to personnel matters such as; Recruitment, Confirmation of appointment, Discipline, Promotion, Transfer of Service/ Posting, Retirement/ Termination from service, etcetera,
- Administering of Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) forms
- Writing of Memo/Circulars to disseminate information to staff on notice Boards and to other required Principal officers,
- Processes Record of Service (ROS) of retired officers to Pensions Board
- Ensures the financial status of staff, whether seriously indebted or otherwise before retired from service or released for transfer of Service to another Organisation/Establishment,
- Ensures staff planning and development needs,
- Ensures prompt information to determine available vacancies of manpower needs,
- Processes all forms of Leaves, including Casual, Examination, Maternity, Sabbatical, Study, Sick, etcetera,
- Takes Custody of Staff files/records and ensures desired safety and easy retrieval whenever the need arises,
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned to the officer(s) by the Registrar.

The Examination and Records division is saddled with the under listed.
- Prepares Time-table and lecture halls in collaboration with academic departments,
- Takes custody and issues examination question papers,
- Collates and prepares examination results to present for approval at Academic Board meetings,
- Computes C.G.P.A and releases results after approval by Academic Board,
- Serves as Registrar’s representative /Secretary in Time-Table committees,
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned by the Registrar to the officer(s).

The Admission is a division that carries out administrative schedules wholly connected with admission of students into the Institute. Officers in the Admissions are expected to be of impeccable character, with the under listed responsibilities:
- Reports regularly to the Registrar on his/her activities,
- Make submissions constantly on courses to Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB), on courses after liaising with the Registrar,
- Processes application for Admissions, Signs and issues letters to successful applicants,
- Safeguards racketeering, fraudulent applicants from being admitted,
- Ensures that only qualified candidates are admitted, etcetera.
