SUPERVISORY COMMISSIONERS VISIT IITH, YENAGOA…AS THE INSTITUTE PREPARES FOR RESOURCE VISITATION AND ACCREDITATION

Hon. Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah and his Culture and Tourism counterpart, Dr. Iti Orugbani who are the supervisory commissioners to the International Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, Yenagoa both on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 payed on-the-spot assessment to facilities at the Institute.

Some of the facilities inspected are industrial mixer and four deck electric oven donated to the Institute by the Education Development Trust Funds (EDTF).

The visit is part of assessing the state of preparedness of the institute towards an official resource visitation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the accreditation of courses for the National Diploma Programs.

In their separate speeches, the Honourable Commissioners assured management of the Institute of government support and readiness to continue to provide a stable working environment such as uninterrupted electricity and other basic requirements to facilitate the smooth running of the newly allocated site by the state government.

Responding, the Rector of the Institute, Prof. Apuega Arikawei thanked the delegation and appreciated the Honourable Commissioners for the in the area of electricity to facilitate the effective use of the newly acquired equipments and support the series of interventions given the institute to operate.
